I remember I was over at my friends house in Colorado and noticed a list on her fridge. It was a list of various blood types and the foods to eat and avoid. I thought it was sort of weird at first, but I gave it a try and noticed some unbelievable results. I felt balanced, energized and alert. I started eating by this and gained a habit of buying certain foods and paying attention to the foods I chose to eat and how I would feel AFTER. This was about 12 years ago, and I still go by this chart.
I was reading an article on the Blood type diet, and found some amazing information on here. I would encourage anyone to check out this site and read all about your blood type! It is so interesting! I am going to read their book Eat right for your type soon! Cannot wait! This stuff intrigues me!
I made a little list of the blood types below, take a peek!
Type O blood: They call the “Hunter”
A high-protein diet heavy on lean meat, poultry, fish, and vegetables, and light on grains, beans, and dairy. D'Adamo also recommends various supplements to help with tummy troubles and other issues he says people with type O tend to have.
Type A blood: They call the “Agrarian, or Cultivator”
A meat-free diet based on fruits and vegetables, beans and legumes, and whole grains -- ideally, organic and fresh, because D'Adamo says people with type A blood have a sensitive immune system.
Type B blood: They call the “Nomad”
Avoid corn, wheat, buckwheat, lentils, tomatoes, peanuts, and sesame seeds. Chicken is also problematic, D'Adamo says. He encourages eating green vegetables, eggs, certain meats, and low-fat dairy.
Type AB blood: They call the “Enigma”
Foods to focus on include tofu, seafood, dairy, and green vegetables. He says people with type AB blood tend to have low stomach acid. Avoid caffeine, alcohol, and smoked or cured meats.
I Hope you found this helpful, and encouraging! Like I said, I really love this kind of stuff!! I truly believe what you eat determines how you feel, react, behave, and live.
