BALANCING YOUR BUSINESS LIFE

  • BALANCING YOUR BUSINESS:: SIX STEPS TO A LESS STRESS LIFE

I was inspired awhile back from a group of networkers across the country. A large group of SMALL business owners. Most of us are freelancers, moms, dads, creatives, etc. I know here in Powersharing you all could relate to this , as you ALL are creatives and are working towards YOUR goal, OR you are already there and ROCKING IT!
Theres this work-life balance thing, Im starting to understand more and more, and I want to personally share this with you. ...... and I as I speak, I am needing to go tuck my boys in for bed. I dont have it all together folks, and I totally get it. And this is life!!! haha!

BUT the good news is, you've got this! You were CREATED to rock your talent! Whatever that may be!!

HERE ARE SOME TIPS THAT CONTINUE TO DIRECT AND HELP ME.

1 Write down a list of your top 3 priorities. Like, in life.
For myself, God, Family {and family friends} then my Business, are mine.
2 Take time to refine your vision for your business. It will be the inspiration and framework for your planning. This is where your goals will be based. Write it down on paper, which will help when you’re feeling overwhelmed.
3 Remember that you will have to say “No.” and realize this is a good thing while at the same time it could be bad for business. I have to balance, and keep my eyes on my priority list.
4 Make time for active rest and reflection. Getting away for some quiet personal time and re-evaluation is healthy for both your personal and work life.
5 Read a book that inspires you. That challenges you. I could recommend some I love, if interested!
6 Ask a close friend to hold you accountable. Allow other people in to challenge/encourage you!

There is a lot of sweat and tears that go into a business. Alot of WHO you are goes into it, but we can quickly lose what originally defined us from the very beginning. I am going to touch base on some of those feelings {that go hand in hand with this topic} tomorrow. These are Feelings of failure, discouragement, anxiety, etc, that I have been through and still go through from time to time. I want to encourage you to look at these tips and lets work keep eachother accountable. I know you've got this!

Okay I better tuck my boys in bed now. ;)
